‘A Partida’ is a 4 episodes TV series that aired on TV Globo, in 2019 (‘A Partida’ it’s a term in Portuguese that means both “the game” and also “the departure”).
The series shows a football draft happening at Zaatari Refugee Camp, in Jordain. 5 refugees, all teenagers, were chosen to play in an NGO football academy from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
All 5 were granted refugees' visa and, until today, are living in Brazil and playing football for the Black Pearls team.
