I was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brasil, and started my professional career as a
copywriter/creative for advertising agencies
- both in Rio and São Paulo.
Then I changed fields to production companies working as
director, writer and team leader creating branded content for TV,
cinema and social media.

Over the last 6 years, I’ve been working on
Brazil’s Sunday prime time TV show
as a copy editor + screenwriter/director,
dealing, mostly, with social and investigative journalism.

In 2019, I decided it was time to produce my own images,
as a documentary photographer and filmmaker.
That’s when I joined the Magnum Photos + Speos
Creative Documentary and Photojournalism Masters Program, in Paris.

Mixing advertising, cinema, and journalism backgrounds,
I use photography or video to produce strong visual narratives.
My work focuses on reality-driven stories between
humans and their surroundings.
Stories that I feel are important and urgent to be told.
